Jun translated my great-grandfather’s autobiography from traditional Chinese to English, and her work was exceptional. She preserved the original meaning of the text, often conducting additional research to accurately interpret certain phrases within context. Her ability to capture the author’s tone and style was remarkable.

Not only was I delighted that she translated my latest book, "Closer to Heaven: A global nomad’s journey through China’s poverty alleviation," but also even considered delaying the book if she wasn’t available according to the publisher’s schedule. That’s because I do not know anyone else among the many excellent translators I’ve worked with to whom I’d entrust such a precious project.

I have had the honour of working with Jun on a dozen books since 2002. With a superb command of Chinese and English and deep understanding of the cultural differences between China and the West, she has turned out high-quality translations with precision and flare, covering a wide range of topics such as UN peacekeeping, travel in Tibet, as well as classic literature. She has become one of the outstanding translators for China Intercontinental Press, which is aimed at introducing China to the rest of the world.

I reached out to Jun after previously struggling to achieve the required quality and attention to detail with other digital translation companies. Jun translated our products manual and website, which list each product’s function, specialty, ingredients and usage in highly specialised language. I first worked with Jun for a relatively large technical assignment in the horticultural field.
